Aarav Patel
Dearest Delegates and Advisors,
It is an honor and a privilege to welcome you all to the 31st Annual Middle School Model United Nations and the 43rd Annual East African Model United Nations.
My name is Aarav Patel, a Year 13 student at Peponi School, and I am humbled to serve as your Secretary-General for this conference. Since joining in Grade 8, the East African Model United Nations has been a cornerstone of my high school journey. Serving as an ambassador, junior chair, and Co-Chair of the First General Assembly, this community has become a home for me, just as it has for many others.
In today’s world, rising leaders must be equipped with skills like public speaking, research, leadership, and diplomacy. The East African Model United Nations aims to prepare delegates to work together and develop solutions for the world’s most pressing challenges.
As the oldest and most prestigious Model United Nations conference in East and Central Africa, we will welcome thousands of high school students and their advisors to Nairobi next January. This event brings together ambitious students from across the region to collaborate and grow as individuals and leaders.
The Secretariat and I are committed to enhancing our substantive excellence, committee offerings, and executive services to make this conference the best it can be. Please do not hesitate to reach out to aarav.eamun@gmail.com with any questions during your registration or preparations.
Once again, I am thrilled to welcome you all to the 43rd Annual East African Model United Nations.
